Christine Stevens

Christine Stevens was born in England and moved to South Africa in 1982. She was in the fashion industry for twenty years, travelling the world first as a fashion buyer then a designer. She moved to her organic farm Eikenbosch in 2000 with her husband and two sons, and since then she has been farming organically, making organic wines, cooking and writing about food.

She is an internationally acclaimed speaker, author, and music therapist. Holding masters degrees in both social work and music therapy, Christine inspires people all over the world with her message of musical empowerment for mind-body wellness. Christine is a member of a leading research team, led by Barry Bittman, MD, whose work on reducing employee burnout with group drumming has been published in the journal Advances in Mind-Body Medicine.

Christine was named to the editorial board of Explore: The Journal of Science & Healing. Believing that fresh ingredients are at the core of good food, Christine shares her discovery of the joys and challenges of real organic farming, without chemicals, pesticides and artificial fertilizers in her beautiful memoir and cookbook Harvest Diaries.
