Outdoorphoto Outdoorphoto was created by Hendrus van der Merwe, with Wim van der Heever bringing it into existence as a community website (http://www.outdoorphotoshop.co.za), in 2004. Since inception, the site has shown tremendous growth with there now being over 17 000 registered members. Although Outdoorphoto is predominantly a photographic outlet, many hours and resources have been spent on driving the community website. Once the website had established a name for itself, the company finally fulfilled a long-standing desire to release a book of images after being approached by Game Parks Publishing. Sunbird Publishers is proud to distribute this book, The Best of Outdoorphoto: Portfolio 1, in South Africa, a book of exceptional photographic work edited by Johan Steenkamp, Ulrich Oberprieler and Anna Ferreira.
