Fiona McIntosh

A self confessed adventure junkie and traveller, Fiona McIntosh is fortunate that her day job as editor of Out There Adventure, Out There Travel and travel editor of Divestyle magazine allows her to indulge her passions all in the name of work. She is also a freelance adventure and travel photojournalist.

She’s the author of six books (in addition to Slackpacking and Slackpacking 2 - Picturesque Mozambique, Don’t Climb Kilimanjaro. the Table Mountain Activity Guide, Seven Days in Mauritius and the Southbound Pocket Guide to the Cape Floral Region Protected Areas) and has contributed to numerous glossy coffee table books on the world’s top dive sites and hiking trails. An avid hiker, mountaineer, diver and paddler, she’s trekked all over the world, (in the name of work, naturally) and believes that South Africa’s hiking trails are without equal.
