John Hall is a cartographer and designer based in South Africa.

John received basic training and education at the Survey Production Centre in Feltham, London which he followed with an apprenticeship at Geographia in Fleet Street, a prolific London-based publisher of globes, maps and atlases from the early 1900s to the late 1980s. He also attended classes at the London School of Print at this time.

His career history is that of a Journeyman with time spent at Map Studio, Johannesburg; Geographers, UK; ARAMCO, London (his own contract company for the oil industry), AA, Johannesburg and Struik Publishers, Cape Town. He has been self employed since 1996.

John Hall is the author of many touring maps published by Sunbird Publishers.
